Match Report
St James Senior Boys' School Boys-U15A vs  Grey Court School
On: Monday, 18 Nov 2019
Venue: Away

Cup semi finals are always ferocious affairs and this was never going to be an exception to the rule with St James drawn against holders Grey Court school on Monday night.
The game started well for the Saints who created space and moved up the pitch well, manufacturing several clear chances. As expected though, the Grey Court defence was solid and denied the St James players on each occasion. Grey Court were the ones to break the deadlock with some powerful running around the fringes breaking through and getting in behind the Saints defence to make room out wide for the score. The Saints were not down heartened and marched straight up the pitch putting together multiple phases allowing scrum half Araujo to score in the corner. Half time 5-5. The second half was going to be all about who would make the least mistakes and was a real nip-tuck affair. Grey Court started the stronger, scoring first and taking the score to 12-5. As with the first half this seemed to spur the Saints into life and they played their best rugby of the game, putting Grey Court under pressure and eventually allowing Araujo to bag his second. Unfortunately, that was around the time that the Saints ran out of steam and despite a valiant effort, Greg Court pulled away and built an unassailable lead. This was an excellent performance from a team who are playing the best rugby of their careers. It doesn’t always go your way but all of the boys left the pitch proud of themselves and of each other.
